There is something amazing about this colour combination... tiffany blue, red, and white. I'm loving it right now.

What a busy weekend! I cannot believe I have to go back to work tomorrow. I still have so much I want to do.

Wizard Comic Con is in 2 weeks and I still have a few things to finish up - pillows, totes, pouches! I'm pretty excited for it though. I'm hoping it's busier than last year and I have faith it should be because it can only get better. I mean, it's Wizard, it has to!

We've also been working away at wedding plans - suit shopping, deciding on favours, collecting prizes for the stag and doe... I have become officially excited recently for the wedding and the events that come before it. Don't get me wrong, I was excited before and I have been waiting to marry my best friend for quite some time now. But the wedding is close to 3 months away! I've become giddy with excitement. I guess it also helps that things are finally coming together and I'm starting to see how everything is going to look.

So I am officially an aunt. Jaelin was born Thursday, February 17th at 2:18 p.m. She's beyond adorable. I've visited her twice now and I cannot believe how quickly I've fallen in love with her. She's tiny and has so much blonde hair on her head. I just about melted when Adam was burping her and she literally curled her hands into fists and rubbed her head into his chest to get comfy and close her eyes. I'm excited to watch her grow and be the best aunt possible.

And as usual, I've been baking up a storm. I've had birthday parties and baby showers to attend and all of which require some form of cake -

These were a Valentine's day treat for Adam - white chocolate, cranberry biscotti!

I'm at home today with stomach problems... Talk about putting my week at a stand still. I have things to do body - stop acting up!

This makes me so happy! I have seen my bags on strangers' shoulders at Fan Expo before. I've done that show so many times now that it's normal to see someone using one of my bags that they bought in previous years. But this is the first time I've come across something of mine online ^_^

I'm scheduled to look at wedding dresses this weekend. I have an image in mind and I hope I'm not dissappointed. I'm looking for either a knee or tea length dress and I want amazing shoes! Coloured shoes! Preferably a buttery soft yellow, which so far, has proven to be difficult!

I have been admiring pictures online however...

I keep getting lost on the internet searching for a pair. I'm hoping as winter leaves, colourful shoes will come into stores!

Life's been pretty busy lately. I'm defnitely behind on my sewing, however, I'm also behind on the wedding plans.

And even though I have some time at the moment, I think I'm going to get on my pajamas and go read Uncanny x-men before bed.

Fondant

I finished up the final fondant classes through Wilton the day before Christmas Eve. I think my final cake turned out awesome... I adore the yellow roses! I will never make a rose in anything but fondant from now on. It's so much easier!

How was everyone's christmas? It went by way too quickly. But now I have the busiest year of my life coming up... my niece arrives in 6 weeks and I get married in 5 months... wow!

I'm hoping life gets into a normal routine again.

For now, it's bed time!

Cake Decorating

I've been having a lot of fun taking the Wilton Cake Decorating Classes. I'm currently taking the fondant class, which is by far my favourite. It's actually incredibly easy using fondant and it's the easiest to make compared to buttercream and royal icing.

For my last class, this was my final cake...

I also was experimenting with cake recipes and flavourings for buttercream frosting. I made some mint-chocolate cupcakes last weekend and they were so yummy!

I've been baking Christmas goodies too... shortbread, belgium cookies, macaroons... and we made our gingerbread house last week. Both cats were pretty interested.

It's been a long day of crafting and baking... night!

Can you believe Christmas is 1 month from today?!?! How crazy is that?

I'm actually heading to the U.S. tomorrow - I know, I'm nuts! - to do some Christmas shopping with family. I have to admit, I'm extremely excited! I can't wait to see all the stores and malls decorated.

On etsy today I came across a very awesome shop, CreativeAbubot. I absolutely love everything!
These are not real cupcakes... but decorations, how cool is that?

Crafting Update

Good evening!

It really hit home for me. I will admit, I haven't actually tried to follow my passions and dreams full-time. I don't fully know what it's like to be broke and to feel defeated because I'm trying to live out my dream. But, honestly, it's something I do want to do. I want to focus all my creative energy on my passions and loves in life. I know working a normal 'day' job is still a requirement. I always want to contribute part of my paycheques to our household and savings. Working these day jobs, however, are hard when your heart isn't in it. They wear you down, but as of now, I want to start moving ahead with taking over the world with Lisa. I want to focus on my creative projects and start expanding.

And I'm Back...

Where did I even go? I'm not quite sure. Life just came crashing down on me and I think I finally feel like I have control again. The inspiration is flowing, routine is happening again, and I'm feeling like me.

What's new in my life? Well, Hamilton is no longer 'home'. Me, my man, our kitties and toads all moved to Welland. The city is beautiful. Our window faces the canal and I can't even describe how gorgeous the trees have been this fall.

I've also been going through jobs like crazy... I can't seem to find anything I like. So to compensate I'm still crafting and selling, and now taking cake decorating classes at night! The creative outlets seem to help keep me sane.

The newest announcement, though, is that I'm engaged! My man proposed... he got down on one knee and presented me with the most beautiful ring. I was speechless, and even now sometimes I'm still speechless. I have a wedding to plan over the next 9 months and I have so many diy ideas to try. The best part is looking at him and knowing that this is it forever. I'm marrying my best friend. It's an amazing feeling.

Well, I know pictures are the easiest way to catch up so here's a small photo dump....

I have sewing projects I want to try, baking and decorating ideas that I'd love to get better at, and just more creative projects I want to undertake. No more sitting on the sidelines waiting for things to happen in front of me! I believe I finally have the courage to start pushing forward in both my personal and creative lives.

Can I be a Golden Girl now??

July has been full of birthday celebrations. Myself and 2 close friends just celebrated birthdays. The last two weeks have been full of gifts and sweets!

I got the second season of Golden Girls for my birthday and I have been flying through it. At this point in my life, stressed from moving and a new job, I am ready to move down to Miami with 3 of my best friends.

Fireworks

Last week we spent Canada Day at the mountain brow where we could see fireworks at Pier 4, Spencer Park, and Dofasco. It was a great view and a great night, except for the mosquitos attacking.

I love that you can see two fireworks going off in the distance on the top right side.

This reminds me of the lit-up ferris wheel in Niagara Falls.

Last night was Art Crawl on James Street. I think previous crawls were more successful but it was still a very busy night.

I spent today baking homemade pizza and italian lemon cookies. They turned out amazing. I will have to post the recipe soon.

Summertime

What a hot and humid week we're having here. I have been swimming at my parents' 3 times now this week. There is nothing better than jumping into the pool on a hot day. Actually, coming home to A/C, showering and putting on pajamas feels almost as good ^_^ It's been amazing being able to swim this much and reminds me of when I was younger and would live in the pool all summer.

My weekend looks to be a busy one again. Tomorrow night is Art Crawl on James Street North. I cannot wait! It's always such a good time. Then Saturday evening I have group birthday plans. There's 3 of us that have our birthdays within 3 days of each other so we're planning a night out at a bar for some drinks and dancing (at least for me!). And as for Sunday me and my dad have a date to check out Aberfoyle Antique Market, then I'm not leaving my parents' pool until dinner time.

Me and Mary spent an afternoon in Port Dover a couple of weeks ago. It was perfect weather, though, we both got a bit burnt.

Well I have a kitty sleeping on my leg and my man playing video games at the end of the couch, it's time for me to relax.

Life has been a whirlwind lately. I'm trying to get back into a regular routine but I guess when we're moving in less than a month it's hard to find a routine when you're surrounded by boxes and commuting 45 minutes to work.

Summer seems to be flying by and there's still a lot I want to do before my man heads back to school in September...
*go for a hike at Dundas Valley
*visit the Killman Zoo
*attend another festival or carnival and buy cotton candy
*make a trip to the U.S. for some shopping
*go fishing
*walk to 7-eleven for slurpees more often

Some thrifted sheets my parents have found for me. I'm going to have so many geeky products for Fan Expo!

Me and my man attended the Burlington Music Festival a couple weeks back to celebrate our anniversary.

Driving home we saw some horses riding along Main Street.

I have plans of watching Gigantic and cutting out pouches before heading to work this afternoon.

Canada's Day

Anybody have Canada Day plans for this evening? Maybe some fireworks? We're headed to Dofasco park with family for fireworks after a delicious meal of takeout Chinese food. I can't wait!

So a couple of weeks ago I did my last Makers' Market for the season (though I should be at a couple more Art Crawls). I had a couple of friends cancel on me, so I recruited my youngest cousin, Megan, to help out for the day. I guess in a way it was a blessing that the girl next to us was selling hoola hoops. It gave Megan something to do during any slow spells, which unfortunately was often. I also met the very lovely Elycia who had an adorable booth. I'm definitely going to miss Hamilton since I've grown accustomed to my summer craft shows. Hopefully I can find some closer to my new home.

Crafting

So even with packing, cleaning, interviews, training, etc. I have been able to squeeze in some sewing and crafting. I ended up playing around with a new bag pattern which is similar to my hobo bag, but without the knotted handle.

This was my first bag, so the handles are a bit shorter than I'd like. But isn't it adorable?

I made a few more using vintage sheets. Me and Mary have also been crafting together. I think this beautiful weather has inspired us both. She has quite the collection of sculpey and paints. I played with Sculpey for the first time a couple of weeks ago. My next mini-lesson from her will be painting!

Today is my last day of work. I don't know how I feel about it. I'm excited to start a new job and move because it's a new start, a new beginning. I can't wait to live in a small city and work in a big, bright mall. But it's still scary and makes me incredibly nervous...

Change

Since everything is official and happening over the next month, I figured I'd share some things...

Wednesday is my last day at my current job and Friday I start a new job in a different city.

August 1st me and my guy are moving an hour away to a new apartment in a new city. So I figured commuting for a month would be worth it since I will have a job once we move and it's one less thing to stress about.

This means I have to train over the next 3 days, freak out on Canada Day because Frday I start a new job which is making me want to puke. My nerves have never been good.

Other than that I'm having a very hateful relationship with my hair right now. Anyone living in the Greater Horseshoe area knows how horrible this humidity has been and it's making my hair big and my bangs unmanageable. I've been trying to avoid mouse because I find for the first day it makes my hair look slightly greasy and too stiff. All weekend and today I've tried just putting in wave spray and some anti-frizz products. It gives my hair more natural-looking waves and the slight frizz is ok - I thinking watching Felicity has made me ok about frizz. But my bangs... I was going to get them trimmed but I'm thinking I should leave them be for the next 2 months so I can pin them back easily. Gah! The joy of being a girl.

I really love Keri Russell's (aka Felicity) hair when it's blown out but still not straight. I know I can accomplish this look if my hair was longer. But it's all a matter of not using products to 'scrunch' my hair and letting it dry naturally, which I have a hard time doing.

Marineland

So when discussing summer plans, me and my guy decided against Wonderland. We both have weak stomachs and didn't feel like sitting out half the day. Our next choice was Marineland because we both hadn't been there since we were children. The park is sooo much walking and the majority of the rides are for children, but I enjoyed the shows and feeding animals and whales.

After our day at Marineland we drove 5 minutes to the tourist area of Niagara Falls. We went for a walk, then to the Movieland wax museum and ended up at the casino for dinner. It was a perfect day.

We have a few more day trips planned since neither of us get vacation this summer or have the money. But I think a bunch of day trips are just as fun as a week-long vacation in some cases.

Lego Harry Potter

Is anyone else excited to play Lego Harry Potter?!?! I am! I want to take a week off and just sit in front of the tv and play it until I've beat the game. I love the other Lego games, but this one will be my favourite. I'm sure of it.

I cannot wait to play! And the cover of the game has Crookshanks on it! The day I got Seymore his official name given to him was Seymore Crookshanks. I couldn't just call him Crookshanks because he's not a girl like Hermione's kitty.

Just breathe...

Do you ever have those moments where everything going on in your life is just circling in your head and you feel as if you could pass out from the weight sitting on your chest? Or that the thought of things you have to do over the next couple or few weeks makes you want to cry? I hate to admit it but I have these moments constantly lately. I'd like to think that things are finally calming down and I'm slowly digging my way out of this pile of stress. I'm mentally making note of the good things, and the little things that make me happy and are keeping me sane.

Monday Morning

What an incredibly busy weekend! It was full of fun and laughter, but still very busy.

Art Crawl was Friday evening and once again it was great! The amount of people that come down to James Street and make conversation with us is so inspiring and motivating. Me and Lisa had a great spot for our table since it was at the entrance of the courtyard.

I've been sewing up tote bags like crazy. I really need to move on to pouches and pillow cases. Here are some of my new totes that I'm loving because they're so colourful.

I really adore these 2 prints together. I've been using that lime green polka dot fabric a lot lately. It was a great garage sale find!

Me and Mary have a crafty night planned for this evening. Then I really need to start on pouches this week!

Busy like a Bee

Wow where did this week go?!?! Every evening has been busy for me this week. I'm so happy I finished up my tote bags last weekend.

We went to see She & Him this week. I will admit I enjoyed the experience more the first time I saw them in concert because it felt more intimate and there was no one breathing down my neck. But it still felt magical this time. Listening to them makes me so happy. Zooey told the audience that it feels like it's sunny when they play. That's the best way to explain the happy feeling I get when I listen to them. And M.Ward... his voice was so smooth. I just want to listen to their music constantly right now.

Last weekend was our long weekend and me and my guy went to my Aunt and Uncle's trailer for the weekend with their family. We spent our days going for walks to the beach, visiting old graveyards, and we even hit up some local garage sales in Simcoe.

This weekend should be just as fun... we have plans to go to Hutches tonight for Fish & Chips and then tomorrow night is another drive-in date!

Craft Shows

Lisa and I did two craft shows a couple of weeks ago in front of Christ's Church Cathedral on James Street North. May 14th was Art Crawl and May 15th was Makers' Market. If you are in the Hamilton area I highly recommend checking out both of these events, especially Art Crawl. James Street was busy right up until 11:30 p.m. and there was lots to do and see.

This was our table the night of Art Crawl.

We set up our tent on Saturday to avoid the afternoon sunshine and glare.

My friend, Sue, ended up bring a table and her jewelry that day. It was her first craft show!

I'm trying to come up with a better idea to display my zipper pouches. I've always just layed them flat on my table or at FanExpo, when I have a ton of them, I just line them up in a basket. Any ideas on how to display them better?

What a great weekend! I have tons of photos to upload tonight from the long weekend. Sunshine and the heat have finally come to visit. At this moment it's 32 degrees out with the humidex.

I'm looking forward to my evening... Mad Men watching, photo uploading, and baking muffins. I kinda wish I had a picnic planned though.

Summer Treats

Last night we went grocery shopping and I did quite the happy dance when I came across new ice cream containers in the freezer section... President's Choice Ice Cream Shop Flavours. I wanted them all! Not only are they in small, cute, classic-looking containers but the flavours! Bubble gum, cotton candy, banana split, root beer float.

I looked it up online and there's about 3 times the amount of flavours that were at my grocery store last night. I'm on a mission to try them all... well most of them anyways!

I squealed a little when I saw this online!

Mmmm all I want is ice cream now!

Drive-in

Saturday night me and my guy went to the drive-in. It was such a perfect night to go. It was cool out so it was great to snuggle under a blanket while having the windows open a bit. We saw How to Train Your Dragon and Iron Man 2.

I didn't really have any expectations for How to Train Your Dragon. But I completely fell in love with the movie. Toothless, the 'lead' dragon, was so cute and it's strange, but somehow he remind me of Logan, my kitty. It was the all black body with big green eyes. Oh, and the big forehead!

Iron Man 2 was what I expected; entertaining, exciting, etc. I can't wait to plan our next drive-in date night! I'm hoping it'll be with Prince of Persia!

It's Friday.. yay!

So tonight is ArtCrawl on James St. North. Me and Lisa will be sharing a table outside of the cathedral from 7-10PM. Tomorrow is our first Makers' Market of the season and we'll be outside the cathedral again. I'm hoping we get to enjoy some sunshine this evening and tomorrow.

Me and my man also have a drive-in date tomorrow night and then we're heading to Aberfoyle on Sunday for some outdoor flea marketing. I'm so excited for this weekend ^_^

I've expressed my addiction to Meaghan Smith's The Cricket's Orchestra before, but I really could listen to this song over and over again.

A couple of Saturdays ago I did my first craft show of the season, just a small craft/bake sale at a church.

Our table was pretty full, but I love how bright and colourful our things are!

Our after dinner walks continue and I can't help but take pictures of all the blossoms on the trees.

I will miss this view...

What a weekend... thunderstorms, wind warnings, trees falling down. I then helped out for 10 hours at Edible Arrangements with my mom, dipping 600+ strawberries into chocolate and cutting other various fruit. It was pretty insane how many Mother's Day orders there were. I also wished I had visited Starbucks Happy Hour more than just once. I'm planning on going everyday Friday through Sunday this weekend.

This week and upcoming weekend doesn't seem to be any slower or quieter for me. I have some prepping to do for Art Crawl Friday, and my first Makers' Market Saturday. I also have a lot of apartment things to handle and organize. Let's just hope the weather is nicer which will at least make it easier to do errands and because I have 2 outdoor craft shows this weekend!

Mini Review

Since we are finally having Spring weather here I have been having fun painting my toenails. So far I have fallen in love with a polish, and been thoroughly disappointed with another.

First:

I have purchased this nail polish in two colours (a pink and mint) and I love it! It doesn't last as long as other brands I've tried. But because it's so easy and quick to use, I don't mind putting on another coat a week later. This polish goes on thick and everytime I've worn one of the colours I only have to use one coat... that's it! No streaks and it dries quick!

I was excited for this nail polish because it also includes a base and top coat. And since my mint nail polish left my toenails a little discoloured I thought this would be great. I bought it in Yellow Kitty because I've been admiring yellow polish all over the internet. Well I ended up putting on 3 coats and I still don't like it. It went on streaky and it dried the same. I'm sure I'll be taking it off this weekend.

On another subject, did anyone watch Glee last night? And fall in love with Emma all over again? I may have to find the Physical video to post. It was great!

Springtime

I don't know if it's because of the weather but I've been in a healthy mindset lately. I've started doing yoga again in the morning. It's interesting because when I have my hands outstretched, trying to concentrate on my breathing there seems to be at least one kitty rubbing their face against my fingers. Or if I'm on my belly Seymore always has to try to crawl under my face, like to check to see what I'm looking at.

I've also taken notes from one of my besties and started drinking a glass of water in the morning with lemon juice. It's supposed to help clear out the toxins, right? I'm also encouraging freezies and jello for 'dessert' rather than chocolate and cookies.

Other than that me and my guy have gone on quite a few walks after dinner to take advantage of living down the street from a park and right along the mountain brow.

My head is just filled today... with thoughts of moving, jobs, apartments, organizing, aprons, baking muffins, springtime plans with my guy... I can't get a grip on it today. I think it's because this past weekend was awesome but filled with so much inspiration and research and heartfelt talks.

It's Friday and it's supposed to go up to a high of 23 today! I have leftover 5-cup salad for lunch and me and my man have a movie date tonight! The day feels perfect already.

Here are some things I've been craving or adoring lately....

Cold, creamy, sweet drinks. Preferably from Starbucks.

Knee high socks with running shoes... I'm totally rocking this today!

Meaghan Smith... I cannot stop listening to The Cricket's Orchestra. I'm so addicted to it.

Books and more books! I have been reading every night and I can't stop buying used books from garage sales and thrift stores. We have already filled up our current bookshelf. Once we move we have to invest in another one.

Dresses, not that this is a new addiction, but even my mom now tells me about cute, cheap dresses she has seen. Or she picks up ones when she goes thrift shopping. My closet will soon be all dresses and graphic t-shirts!

I still adore red hair. I actually just dyed my hair last night a similar shade to this colour. But this picture also makes me miss my bangs. Really bad.

I've been finishing up some new totes and pouches since I have 2 craft shows in May.

I made some pouches for the Church Bazaar show. I thought Elvis and kittens might appeal to that crowd.

The Yay Underpants fabric was designed by Lisa and printed by Spoonflower. I absolutely adore it!

My stack of vintage aprons keeps getting bigger.

Logan has clearly learned from Seymore that it's fun to hang out in fabric, especially when I'm cutting it.

Lisa has also been busy making cat toys. How cute are they?

I cannot wait to move into a new apartment this summer and get to start from scratch. I already have quite the selection of furniture to choose from between what I have at my place and what's sitting in my parents' basement. But now I will get to start all over. I want things fresher and with a very comfy feel to it.

I really need a proper shelf to display my pyrex on, not only for show but so it's within reach which will be easier for me to use.

I am also dreaming of a proper craft area.

I finally got my hair cut on Friday. It's quite the change, but I'm enjoying my long bob.

Thunderstorms

So far we've had two days of overcast and rain. This morning we even had a smaller thunderstorm which made me very happy. Thunderstorms, when it's warm out, feel so comforting. I just want to sit and watch a movie with the windows open so I can hear the rain and thunder. However, I wouldn't complain if the sun decided to come out for the weekend.

This is usually how I'm greeted when I come home from work. Logan is beside Seymore even though you can barely see him.

I catch them cuddling all the time now. Seymore will go from grooming Logan to biting him.

This picture makes me laugh because Logan does this most of the time when he sees me pull out the camera. He just wants to play with the camera cord. Oh, and don't ask about Psyduck... we seem to have 2 Poke balls in the living room right now as well.

Long Weekend Love

Though I went to work today, Easter Monday, it still felt somewhat like a holiday. People must have thought we were closed because our office was pretty quiet. Plus it was so beautiful out just like the previous 3 days.

I couldn't have asked for a nicer Easter weekend. I went to the One of a Kind Craft Show, thrift shopping, out for dinner, on a hike, and had a wonderful homemade dinner on Good Friday.

Wizard Comic Con

This past weekend was the Wizard Comic Con. I did really well selling my handmade things, especially my pillow cases made from nerdy bed sheets. I sold all of them but one! This convention was definitely a mini version of FanExpo with some really talented artists and lots of people dressed up in costumes!

Our table on day 1. Lisa wasn't able to come so me and Heather split the table.

The cutest little ghostbuster I have ever seen. She was quite excited about my ghostbuster tshirt.

Speaking of Ghostbusters, I met Ernie Hudson aka Winston Zeddmore for free! I was blushing for a good hour afterwards.

They are at EVERY comic convention.

What a weekend. I had a table at the Wizard Comic Convention this weekend in Toronto. It was pretty good and definitely entertaining. I'm exhausted from working a table for 3 days and driving to and from Toronto each day. I am wanting my bed right now, but instead I'm at work until 5. I have been very busy getting ready for the Wizard Comic Convention. I can't believe it's this weekend. I actually feel pretty prepared and not as overwhelmed as usual. Maybe it's because I have been sewing a lot over the last couple of months and put together I have a lot of inventory!

I've been in spring cleaning mode for a good month now. I'm trying to organize everything which has become quite the task, especially when my craft supplies seem to multiply constantly. I also have a strong urge to redecorate.

Looking online has provided me with lots of ideas.

I love the idea of having canisters right along the counter so everything is within reach and in sight.

I adore the look of mismatched chairs. I may be doing that with a table I bought recently on kijiji.

There's no baby on the way.... I swear! But look at the colours and how cute this room is!!

I am in love with avocado and yellow!

I think I may be trying to copy this exactly once we move... small kitchen table, bright table cloth, make-shift hutch for storage. I love it!

My Girl

This weekend we had a 70s movie day. We watched 4 movies that take place during the 1970s and ate a ton of junk food.

The first movie we watched was My Girl, which is pretty much one of my favourite movies of all time. The setting, house, weather, clothing, music, camper, bingo... all fill me with so much joy. It makes me want to ride my bike on a warm summer day or go hang out at a carnival at night.

I'm turning into a crazy cat lady. I'm not THAT bad yet. But the amount of pictures I take of Logan and Seymore makes my man look at me funny sometimes.

These are from the weekend I was sick, clearly from the Strepsils box on the coffee table. It was our first spring-like weekend and I was stuck inside with a cold. I had every window wide open which caused the kitties to sleep all day. I guess the fresh air got to them.

But they now have a better hangout for naps.

This was given to us and they adore it, especially Seymore who has claimed the top perch for sleeping in the sun.

Well it was another busy weekend. The weather here in Hamilton was horrible. It rained from Friday morning right through to yesturday evening non-stop. Everything's wet and muddy and it's still pretty cloudy out today.

It was a perfect weekend to stay in to clean and sew. I ended up finishing some totes that me and Lisa worked on together. I also have about 8 nerdy pillow cases cut out and ironed. I will take some pictures this week of my finished projects as long as the sun shows itself finally.

Last night I finally got around to watching Away We Go. I really enjoyed the movie. I found it very sweet and John Krasinski was adorable.

I'm still getting over my cold but I feel so much better mentally today. I find the +11 weather and sunshine has a serious effect on my mood.

Today I am grateful for:
*my boyfriend bringing me home a slurpee
*when I come out of the bathroom and there's at least 1 kitty waiting at the door for me
*spring dresses that can be worn now with cardigans
*iced tea
*finding out that the drive-in should be opening March.19th

Logan can't keep his eyes open with the flash yet. He's not used to having a camera in his face all the time like Seymore.

I don't know where winter went - we had 2 snow storms last week and now today it's +4 and this weekend it is supposed to go up to +10! All I want to do is surround myself with greens, teals, and yellows. Oh and I'm loving white, not white clothes, but white walls, white furniture, white dishes. I think once me and my man move I'm going to paint our new apartment white - every room, except maybe paint the kitchen pale yellow. It makes everything seem more clean.

I'm also loving the spring-like trends that I keep finding online too.

Well life has been busy. I have been sewing and thrift shopping and spending time at home with my boys. My man's on reading week so we've been playing catch up with dvds and video games over the weekend. And I've yet to upload any pictures because I currently have my cousin's Nikon D40 which I'm taking advantage of so I can get lots of good photos before giving it back this week.

I have had a love-hate relationship with bangs my entire life. I currently am sporting some not so pretty side bangs. I just can't seem to style them right anymore. But I feel so inspired by these photos of Alison Sudol of A Fine Frenzy, though, I don't think I could pull off the really short bangs. But the red hair is to die for and I love her side swept bangs.

We've been lucky so far this year to not have much of a winter, here in Southern Ontario. This week marked our first snow 'storm' of the season. It was pretty calm and the snow was melting within 24 hours. As I type, the second snow 'storm' has started. Winter really wants to catch up apparently.

I went for a walk on my lunch break to take advantage of the clear skies before the snow started today. I have been thinking about so much lately - projects (sewing and photos), ideas for etsy, this blog, organizing, clothes... it's never ending but it keeps my mind in a happy state while work tries its best to numb it.

Weekend of rest?

TGIF! I'm done work in a half hour, but really it doesn't feel like it. I have sooo many things to do this weekend. Though, more than half are stuff I like to do - sewing, organizing, ironing bags, taking photos for etsy. I love that my hobby provides me with an incredible amount of inspiration and that I have no problem working hard at it. It feeds my motivation.

I'm sure I'll have two kitties rubbing up against my legs all weekend and climbing into fabric piles. They like to be my helpers.
