I have to thank Ashley for getting me into graphic novels. I was always interested in the idea of them. At FanExpo I'd look at the ones with pretty covers and with cute girls on the front. But she introduced me to Fables and promised me I'd love it. Well I did. Now I find so many I want to read and own. I'd love to have a bookcase that takes up a wall (yes, you've inspired me Ashley) and is full of books with amazing covers (of course the stories will be good too). But books can be amazing artwork.
I have been picking up some classics at Value Village. I love the worn in feel to them and the simplicity of their covers.
At the moment, though, I'm itching to get my hands on these:
Lost At Sea by Bryan Lee O'Malley
Unwritten Vol. 1: Tommy Taylor and the Bogus Identity by Mike Carey
Oz: The Wonderful Wizard Of Oz HC by Skottie Young , Eric Shanower
Pride & Prejudice Premiere HC by Hugo Petrus , Nancy Butler
For now I'm guessing I'll be borrowing what I can until money isn't so tight.
